Cortland weather forecast for Monday, June 5

CORTLAND, N.Y. - Showers and thunderstorms will develop Monday afternoon, kicking off what is expected to be a cloudy and rainy week in Cortland County.

Some storms could be severe in the late afternoon and early evening hours, with the possibility for strong winds and severe hail. Heavy rainfall is also possible.

A hazardous weather outlook remains in effect for central New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.

Temperatures will hover in the upper 60s for much of the day and will dip into the mid-50s overnight.

The good news? Warm and drier weather will return as we approach the weekend.
