Five suspects then fled the vehicle on foot, and police called in deputies from Cortland and Broome counties, as well as search dogs from Johnson City, to try and locate the suspects.
Three men were arraigned in Fenton Town Court and taken to Broome County Jail pending a bail hearing. They were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a felony.
The suspects were also wanted for questioning in Oneida County for suspected bank fraud, according to police.
Police are still searching for the remaining two suspects who fled the vehicle.
