CORTLAND, N.Y. – A building on the SUNY Cortland campus was evacuated Thursday after a construction project in the building led to "potentially hazardous fumes," the college said in a statement.

The Sperry Center on the campus was evacuated at around 4 p.m. Thursday, according to emergency radio reports.
No other SUNY Cortland buildings were impacted, college officials said in a statement.
Classes at the Sperry Center are expected to resume Friday.
