Truxton woman charged with DWI after crash

TRUXTON, N.Y. — A Cortland County woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after reportedly sliding off the road in the town of Truxton Friday.

On June 24, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff's Office responded to Gridley Road for a motor vehicle accident.

A white Chevy blazer was found to be damaged from sliding off the road, the sheriff's office said in a news release.

Michelle M. Levya, 27, of Truxton, was found to be "under the influence of an alcoholic beverage," according to Lt. Troy Boice with the sheriff's office.

Levya was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and speed not reasonable and prudent. She was arraigned in Homer Town Court and released.
