CORTLANDVILLE, N.Y. — Firefighters quickly doused a blaze in a dust containment unit at the Pyrotek manufacturing plant Sunday morning.
At around 9 a.m., the Cortlandville Fire Department was called to a working structure fire at the Pyrotek, Inc. plant at 641 State Route 13 in Cortlandville.
The fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes. It took another 90 minutes to evacuate smoke from the manufacturing building, the Cortlandville Fire Department said in a Facebook post.
The Cortlandville Fire Department was assisted on scene by fire departments from Homer, Marathon, Virgil, Dryden, McLean and Groton.
