Groton man charged with identity theft

GROTON, N.Y. — State police arrested a Groton man Tuesday who is accused of using a stolen credit card to purchase items.

Eric M. Conklin, 34, is accused of stealing a credit card on the village of Groton on Nov. 19. Over the course of two days, Conklin used the card to withdraw about $600 from various locations in the city of Ithaca, police said.

He faces charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree identity theft.

Conklin was arraigned in Groton Town Court and taken to the Tompkins County Jail without bail.
