Cortland man arrested after allegedly smashing windshield with hands

Narrative: The arrest occurred after troopers were advised of a damaged vehicle that had been parked outside on Bradford Street in the village of Marathon. An investigation determined that on March 11, Hoy had smashed the front windshield of a 2007 Lincoln MKS by striking it with his hands several times, police said. The damage was valued at more than $250. Hoy was arraigned in the town of Marathon court and was released without bail being required. His next court date is on Sept. 13.
