$104 million lottery ticket sold at Preble gas station

CORTLAND, N.Y. - A lucky ticket holder in New York will take home the Mega Millions jackpot, state lottery officials announced Friday.

The $104 million ticket was sold at the Mirabito gas station on Route 281 in Preble. The winning numbers, announced Friday night, were 5, 39, 54, 63 and 66, plus the Mega Ball 15.

Friday's winner has not yet been identified. The ticket is worth $104 million, with an estimated cash value of $65 million.

Friday's drawing also produced a second-prize winner of $5 million. That ticket was also sold in New York, lottery officials said.

This is the fifth Mega Millions jackpot won this year. It was last won on August 11, when Patricia Busking won a whopping $393 million prize in Illinois. Earlier 2017 jackpots were won in California ($191 million on January 27 and $61 million on April 28) and Arkansas ($177 million on March 31).

The Mega Millions jackpot resets to $15 million for the next drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
