Groton police investigating gas station robbery

GROTON, N.Y. - The Groton Police Department is investigating a reported robbery that occurred at a gas station in the village Sunday evening.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. at the Red Apple store, located on Main Street in the village of Groton, police said.

An unknown male entered the store and handed a note to the clerk demanding cash. The suspect then left the store heading northbound on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall with thin build.
