The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office will be offering a Snowmobile Safety Course on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 8 a.m. at the Cortland County Regional Training Center located at 999 State Route 13, Cortland, N.Y.
Those wishing to attend the course must pre-register by calling, Joyce Smith at 607-753-5396. The course is free and space is limited.
Youths between the ages of 10 and 18 years must successfully pass the safety course in order to lawfully operate a snowmobile in New York State.
No lunch will be provided, although a lunch break will be given.
