Cortland YMCA to hold annual Spring Run 5K

The BorgWarner/Cortland YMCA race series begins Saturday April 21, at 9 a.m. in front of the Y, 22 Tompkins Street. The Spring Run, by Tompkins Trust Company, is the first race of the 2018 5K race series, facilitated annually by the Cortland YMCA.

“The Spring Run not only starts our running season, but it signals the end of winter and the renewal that only spring can provide,” said Race Series Coordinator, Matt Kemak. He adds the spring run is a great flat course taking runners through residential areas of the city of Cortland.

The Spring Run will start at the Y, Turning on Broadway, across the bridge to George street past the Water Works, turning right on Helen Ave, to a right on Groton, a left on Helen, right on Madison, down to South main, taking a right on Main to Tompkins, finishing up at the Y.

Registration is online at www.cortlandymca.org through Elitefeats.com and at the Y. Complimentary t-shirts will be given to those who register in person or online by April 7th. Discounts are available for anyone signing up before the race through Friday 4/20/18. Sign up for all the races in the series and your discount adds up to a free race registration!
