Six Cortland teams to compete in SUNYAC championship week

Six SUNY Cortland spring sports teams will be competing in SUNYAC postseason action May 2-6, with three of the six championships being held, at least in part, on the Cortland campus.

Men's lacrosse, baseball and women's lacrosse will all be home, starting with a SUNYAC men's lacrosse semifinal Wednesday, May 2. If victorious, the Red Dragons would host the finals on Saturday, May 5. The baseball team hosts the four-team league tournament Thursday-Saturday, May 3-5, and the women's lacrosse team will host the SUNYAC semifinals and finals on Friday-Saturday, May 4-5.

The softball team will be the #2 seed in the six-team SUNYAC tournament Thursday-Sunday, May 3-6 at Geneseo. The outdoor track and field teams will also be heading to Geneseo for the conference championship meet Friday-Saturday, May 4-5.

Semifinal winners (at highest remaining seed), 4 p.m. if at Cortland (likely 1 p.m. if at Plattsburgh or Brockport)


First Round - Tuesday, May 1

(#3 seed) Brockport def. (#6 seed) Buffalo St., 20-7

Semifinals, Friday, May 4 (at Cortland)
