Cortland Weather Outlook: Wednesday, July 17

For today's weather forecast, forecasters are anticipating heavy rain showers along with possible thunderstorms that will start mainly after noon.

It will be a cloudy morning, with there already being an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Chances of precipitation however, will decrease to about 50 percent late in the afternoon.

Temperatures will also reach a high near 78 degrees during the day and decrease to around 62 degrees at night.

Here is a look at the rest of this week's weather forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Binghamton:

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with there being a slight 30 percent chance of showers. Mainly after 2 p.m. Temperatures will reach a high near 82 degrees during the day. Also, there will be Northeast winds of up to seven miles per hour. Temperatures will then drop to around 68 degrees at night.

Friday: Partly sunny, with temperatures increasing drastically, to a high near 91 degrees during the day. There will also be a slight 30 percent chance of scattered showers throughout the day. Temperatures will then decrease to a low around 72 degrees at night.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with temperatures increasing to the low 90s throughout the day. Temperatures will then drop to the mid 70s late in the evening.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with there still being a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day. Temperatures will reach a high of about 86 degrees and drop to a near 65 degrees at night.

Monday: Partly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high of around 81 degrees during the day. Temperatures will then drop to a near 58 degrees at night.
