Marathon boys soccer to play for the State Championship today!

Yesterday, the Marathon boys varsity soccer team defeated Fillmore in the Semi-Final stage of the State Tournament and therefore advanced into the State Championship game.

The undefeated Olympians had a dominating 3-0 win over Fillmore, as they were already up 2-0 before halftime with goals from senior forward Cameron Neilson and sophomore midfielder Braeden Morrison.

Coming into the second half, Neilson scored his second goal of the game to seal it away and lead the Olympians into the New York State Finals, where they will be playing Mount Academy.

The championship game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. today, Sunday, November 17th at Faller Field in Middletown.
