Details: Galaska was arrested at 3:11 a.m. Thursday after he was stopped for speeding on Port Watson Street, according to city police.

Charges: Driving while intoxicated as a first offense and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content at or above 0.08 percent and operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, misdemeanors; moving from lane unsafely and unlawful possession of marijuana, violations

Details: Williams was stopped at 2:44 a.m. Dec. 7 on Elm Street for moving from his lane unsafely and was found to have a marijuana, according to city police.

Legal action: Williams was released and is set to appear at 9 a.m. Wednesday in City Court.

Accused: Duma Gutierrez Bermudez, 25, 4 Yellowbarn Road, Freeville

Charges: Driving while intoxicated as a first offense, a misdemeanor; refusal to take a breath test and unsafe backing up, violations

Details: Bermudez backed his vehicle into a building early Saturday morning on William Street, according to city police. Officers determined he was intoxicated and arrested Bermudez at 5:46 a.m., the department noted.

Legal action: Bermudez was released to appear at a later date in City Court.

Accused: Elaine A. White, 63, of Cincinnatus

Charges: Driving while intoxicated as a first offense, a misdemeanor

Details: White was arrested at 6:22 p.m. Monday near 5159 Telephone Road in Taylor, according to State police.

Legal action: White was ticketed and released to appear in Taylor Town Court at a later date.

Accused: Andrew S. Knickerbocker, 31, of Zelsnack Road, Marathon

Charges: Driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; speeding and failure to use designated lane, traffic infractions

Details: Knickerbocker struck a utility pole about 10:40 a.m. Dec. 7 along Route 13 in Homer, causing the airbag of his vehicle to deploy, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. Knickerbocker was unhurt, according to the department. Officers determined he was intoxicated and arrested him, according to a news release.

Legal action: Knickerbocker was ticketed and released to appear in Homer Town Court at a later date.
