Cortland Weather Outlook: Saturday, March 7

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Saturday, March 7, 2020:

High pressure will build into the region today and take control of the weather for the weekend.

Some early morning clouds will dissipate as the dominating high builds in. Once the clouds move out, the rest of the day should be bright and sunny.

Winds are from the north this morning and will continue at speeds of 7-12 mph into the afternoon. Gusts may approach 30 mph. A slight directional shift to the northwest is expected late in the day.

Temperatures will be driven by the increasing strength of the March sun, overcoming a cool start and the winds to reach a high close to, but just shy of normal in the mid 30s.

Evening temperatures will fall quickly through the 20s as winds turn calm. Overnight, the winds will turn to the south, and temperatures will start to come back up.
