A taste of warmer weather will finally return to the area out ahead of a cold front tonight.

Skies today will be a mix of sunny periods and cloudy ones. For most of the day, even when it is cloudier, the sun may still shine through the clouds.

The best chance for overcast skies will come late in the afternoon and into the evening as a cold front moves into the area.

A few rain showers will accompany the front with most of the precipitation falling after sunset. Heavy rain is not expected.

Southwest winds ahead of the front will blow at 10-15 mph. Top gusts should peak around 30-35 mph.

Temperatures will get back into the 50s at last with highs in the upper 50s. Evening temperatures will fall through the 40s and into the 30s as the front moves through.

Tuesday: Cloudy with rain showers. Perhaps a few higher elevation snowflakes as well. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds. Maybe a morning flurry. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the low 40s.

Thursday: Cloudy. A few rain showers. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
