2020 Great Cortland Pumpkinfest Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Precautions

This is a press release from the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest committee.

Due to the continually evolving COVID-19 situation, the Great Cortland Pumpkinfest committee has come to the decision to cancel the 2020 festival, with the aim to return in 2021.

The decision was a difficult one to make. The Great Cortland Pumpkinfest has never cancelled in its history. “This has not been an easy decision. It’s hard to imagine the first full weekend in October without Courthouse Park full of our festival guests, crafters, vendors, and volunteers” says Elizabeth Cole, festival co-chair.

“We were looking forward to celebrating the 25th Great Cortland Pumpkinfest in 2020,” says Mindy Stevenson, festival co-chair. “The decision to cancel is not one we undertook lightly. But, our utmost concern is for the health and safety of everyone who makes the festival possible.”

The committee thanks everyone for their support in this decision, and looks forward to seeing everyone safe and healthy next year.
