On July 27, 2020 at approximately 2:14 AM, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury motor vehicle crash in the area of South Hill Road and Snell Hill Road, located in the Town of Cortlandville.
Daniel J. Murphy, age 27, was operating a 2010 Jeep Compass on South Hill Road when he failed to negotiate curve in the road, travelling off the road and into several trees. Mr. Murphy was transported to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, by TLC Ambulance, for injuries to his back.
Mr. Murphy was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, processed, and released on appearance tickets. He is due to appear in the Town of Cortlandville Court on August 10, 2020 at 2:30 PM. Cortlandville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
