Yesterday, at approximately 4:40pm the Cortlandville Fire Department was called to Highland Rd. for a lawn mower on fire. On arrival firefighters found a fully involved garden tractor on fire as well as the surrounding leaves. The fire was quickly extinguished and the tractor is considered a total loss.
The Cortlandville Fire Department would like to remind everyone to use caution while mowing this time of year as the leaves on the ground are typically dry and can ignite easy.
