Chilly northwest winds will keep lake effect snow showers in the area throughout today.

None of the snow will be heavy and accumulations should be limited to under an inch. The northern half of the county is especially likely to see snow showers.

In between flurries, skies will remain cloudy.

Wind speeds this morning will be 10-15 mph, dropping to around 10 mph this afternoon. Top gusts will be around 30 mph.

Temperatures will not rise much today and should fail to get above the upper 20s. Hilltops in the northern half of the county may only reach the mid 20s.

Tonight, lake effect flurries will continue and temperatures slide back into the mid 20s.

Thursday: A mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 30s.
