Cortland Weather Outlook: Sunday, January 24

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Sunday, January 24, 2021:

There will be breaks of sunshine though, and these should become more plentiful as the day goes on. Late in the day, some non-lake effect clouds higher in the atmosphere will also build in to mix with the sunshine.

Winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph for most of the day but will become nearly calm late in the afternoon and into the evening. Eventually, winds will turn lightly to the south in the hours leading up to dawn Monday.

It will be chilly again today with highs near or just above 20 degrees. The calm winds and partially clear skies will send temperatures quickly into the single digits once the sun sets. A few areas could get to or even below zero overnight.
