Another winter weather system will spread snow into the region today.

The morning hours should be quiet with cloudy skies and no precipitation. Snow will start to move in during the midday or early afternoon.

The snow will fall steadily this afternoon and evening. Generally, the snow will be light, but a few periods of moderate snowfall will be possible.

Accumulations will be an inch or two by sunset, then another two to four inches overnight. This should come to totals of three to six inches by Friday morning.

A light east wind will blow through the day at near or under 5 mph. Top gusts will be in the 10-15 mph range.

Temperatures will rise through the teens this morning and end up in the mid 20s this afternoon. As the snow continues this evening, temperatures will retreat to around 20 degrees.

Friday: On and off snow showers. Morning lows around 20. Afternoon highs near 30.

Saturday: Lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Sunday: Sunny with some late clouds. Morning lows in the low teens. Afternoon highs in the upper 20s.

Monday: Morning snow, then some breaks of sun alternating with a few flurries. Morning lows in the upper teens. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
