Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, May 28

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, May 28, 2021:

Low pressure will slowly track to the south today, bringing a cold, steady rain to the area.

A few showers will be possible this morning, with steadier rain moving in during the midday hours. Steady rain will fall throughout the afternoon and evening, with at least showers persisting into the overnight.

At times this afternoon and evening, some heavier downpours will be possible. By Saturday morning, around an inch of rain, and locally more, will be possible.

Accompanying the rain will be a steady northeast wind at 5-10 mph. This wind will help ensure warm air does not make it into the region.

Monday: More sun than clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.
