Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, June 11

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, June 11, 2021:

Humidity will try and ultimately fail to move back north into the region, even as another frontal boundary approaches from the north.

The main result from these two factors will be an increase in clouds to mix with the sunshine. A stray shower cannot be ruled out, mostly during the afternoon and evening hours. However, any rain that falls should be scattered and brief.

Dewpoints will be in the 50s for much of the day, making for another comfortable afternoon. Highs will be similar to yesterday, reaching the upper 70s and low 80s.

Winds will be from the south at 5-10 mph with a few gusts as high as 20 mph.

With some extra clouds along the boundary, temperatures tonight will not be quite as cool as the last couple nights. Evening temperatures will stay well in the 60s, with low 60s during the overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Saturday: Morning clouds and perhaps a shower. Then a mix of sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. A period of rain and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Monday: Some scattered showers or storms. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 70s.
