Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, September 27, 2021:

A warm front is moving through the area this morning and will bring in the warmest weather of the upcoming week this afternoon.

As the front continues to push east, a few rain showers will be possible into the mid-morning hours. After that, the weather should clear out with increasing sunshine and just some fair weather clouds.

Sun and clouds will continue into the afternoon, though some of the clouds may thicken up later in the day. No rain is expected during the afternoon.

Southwest winds will blow at 5-10 mph behind the warm front. Top gusts could reach 25 mph at times.

These winds will bring in warmer air with highs this afternoon reaching the low to perhaps mid 70s.

Tonight, rain showers will move back in from the north ahead of a cold front. None of the rain will be overly heavy, but it will continue on and off through the night.

Evening temperatures will slip into the low 60s and overnight temperatures will bottom out in the upper 50s.

Friday: Rather cloudy. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
