Cortland Weather Outlook: Friday, October 22

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, October 22, 2021:

Cool air will build into the region taking us back to where the week started off.

The cold front responsible for this change is moving through early this morning. As such, the overnight stayed relatively mild but the daytime temperatures will not warm much.

This means most of the day will see temperatures or just above 50 degrees. After sunset, temperatures will quickly drop into the mid or even low 40s, where they will remain through the night.

Clouds will be stubborn today with the best chance for a few glimpses of sunshine coming at the end of the day.

Despite the clouds, precipitation will not be a huge issue. A few showers are likely this morning, but they should taper off and end early this afternoon.

Skies will remain rather cloudy overnight but with mostly dry conditions.

The wind today will be from the northwest behind the cold front. Speeds will be between 5-10 mph and top gusts will reach about 20 mph.
