Cortland Weather Outlook: Monday, October 25

Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, October 25, 2021:

A warm front moved through the region last night and will set us up for a very warm day.

With the front lifting north, our region is solidly into the warm sector of the larger, overall storm system. Warm, dry air will build in and last through the daytime hours.

Thin clouds will be present throughout the day, filtering the sunshine. Some occasional thicker, lower clouds may also move through. A few periods of blue sky are not out of the question, either, though.

No rain is expected during the daytime hours outside of a lingering shower early this morning as the front continues north. Showers will return this evening as the cold front approaches. The chances for on and off rain will continue through the night and into Tuesday.

South winds will blow at 5-10 mph, helping temperatures rise. Look for afternoon highs to push toward 70 degrees. This evening, temperatures will settle into the mid 50s, where they will remain overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next several days:

Tuesday: Periods of rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Wednesday: Morning clouds and showers. Some afternoon sun. Morning lows near 50. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Thursday: Rather sunny. Some thin clouds late. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.
