Cortlandville woman arrested for assault, weapon charges

A town of Cortlandville woman is facing multiple charges following an incident at McGraw Park in the village of McGraw last month that involved a baseball bat, according to a Cortland County Sheriff’s Office report.

On the night of Oct. 26, it was reported that Brooke Irish, 18, of Cortlandville, was allegedly using a bat during a fight with a victim. Irish and the victim were treated for minor injuries.

Irish was officially arrested at the county public safety building this past Friday. She was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree assault.

Irish was released on an appearance ticket. She is set to appear in the town of Cortlandville court on Monday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m.
