Your Cortland County weather forecast for Friday, February 11, 2022:

Temperatures will be on the rise again today as southerly winds dominate.

The wind will blow at around 10 mph for much of the day but will strengthen a little further in the late afternoon and early evening. During the latter half of the evening, the direction will shift to become more southwesterly.

Top gusts will come in around 30 mph during the late afternoon hours.

Some sunshine will mix with clouds through the morning but overcast skies should ultimately win out. Any sunshine will only help temperatures warm.

Look for afternoon highs to be similar to Wednesday, reaching into the mid 40s.

A few rain showers will move in during the evening hours with a better chance for rain coming during the overnight period. 

Nighttime temperatures will remain mild, with low 40s in the evening dropping slowly to the mid 30s by Saturday morning.

Saturday: Morning rain showers turning to flurries. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Midday highs near 40, then falling through the 30s.

Sunday: A few lake effect snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 0s. Afternoon highs in the mid 10s.

Monday: Some early clouds giving way to sunshine. Morning lows near -10. Afternoon highs near 10.

Tuesday: More clouds than sun. A few flurries. Morning lows near -5. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.
