Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, March 22, 2022:

Another quiet day is ahead for Cortland County, though it will not be as sunny or as warm as yesterday.

The best chance for sunshine will come in the morning hours. Even then, the sun will be mixing with clouds.

The clouds will increase this afternoon and gradually become thick. Overcast, yet dry conditions will persist into the evening and through the overnight.

Winds will be from the northwest but not as blustery as yesterday. Wind speeds will stay around 10 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph.

The clouds and northwest winds will keep temperatures in check. Look for afternoon highs above 40 degrees, but not reaching 45 degrees. This is about spot-on the climatological average for this time of the year.

Tonight, temperatures will settle into the upper 20s and will bounce down into the mid 20s at times overnight.

Nighttime winds will turn from the north to the east, but wind speeds will stay near or under 5 mph.
