Your Cortland County weather forecast for Monday, April 11, 2022:

Warmer air will start to make a push back toward our region as high pressure sets up off the coast of the southeastern United States.

Some clear skies and light winds overnight have temperatures on the chilly side to start today. However, sunshine this morning and the development of south winds will help temperatures warm quickly.

The south winds will increase to around 10 mph and remain there through the afternoon. Top gusts will be around or just over 20 mph.

The sunshine will start to mix with thin clouds during the morning. These clouds will thicken for the afternoon, resulting in mostly cloudy skies. A few rain showers will also be possible before sunset.

High temperatures will be fifteen or more degrees warmer than yesterday, topping out in the mid to upper 50s.

Evening temperatures will back into the mid 40s as rain showers become more widespread. On and off rain is expected through the night with temperatures holding steady.

Tuesday: A few early showers possible. Then, increasing sun. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.
