Your Cortland County weather forecast for Tuesday, May 10, 2022:

There will be little change in the weather today compared to the last couple of days as high pressure to our northeast continues to keep a firm grasp on our weather pattern.

One small difference will come in the wind direction. While the last two days had northeast winds, today the wind will be from the east and southeast.

However, the wind speed will be a little light, generally coming in around 5 mph with gusts under 20 mph.

This wind shift will not really have any noticeable impacts on the weather, though. Skies will remain mostly to fully clear throughout the daytime and nighttime hours.

Temperatures will continue to warm, with highs today around or just above 70 degrees. The air will continue to be dry, with afternoon relative humidity values under 35 percent.

Tonight, temperatures will gradually fall through the 50s this evening and well into the 40s overnight. A few areas may even sneak below 40 degrees before sunrise Wednesday.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and a few clouds. Morning lows around 40. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the upper 70s.

Saturday: Sun, clouds, and a few scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
