Low pressure is moving through the area this morning.

Areas of rain, some heavy, will continue into the mid-morning hours. A few rumbles of thunder may also be possible.

As the low passes overhead, the steadier precipitation will end. However, on the backside of the low, some scattered showers will continue throughout the day.

The majority of the rain that falls today will do so early this morning.

Skies will remain more cloudy than not through the afternoon. A stiff northwest wind will also develop, with speeds around 15 mph and gusts as high as 40 mph.

The clouds, showers, and wind will hold temperatures down. Look for afternoon highs to only reach the mid 60s.

Showers will dissipate late this afternoon and some sun may work out before the day comes to a close. Evening skies will then clear, with just a few stray clouds overnight.

Evening temperatures will quickly drop through the 50s with an overnight low right around 50 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows around 50. Afternoon highs near 70.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs near 70.

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Maybe some evening showers or storms. Morning lows in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Monday: A few early showers. Then some sun. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.
