High pressure will keep control of the weather today, but will drift southeast of the region, opening us up to warmer temperatures.

A batch of thin clouds may move through the region this morning, filtering the sunshine at times.

These clouds should move along by the afternoon, leaving sun and a few fair weather clouds.

No rain is expected today or tonight.

A light southerly flow will set up. Wind speeds will be around or under 5 mph. Wind gusts should be under 15 mph.

It will not be hot, but it will be warmer than yesterday. Afternoon highs should be at or above 80 degrees.

Skies will become clear this evening, but the south wind will persist. Evening temperatures will stick in the 60s, but overnight temperatures should slip into the upper 50s, at least for a couple of hours.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Tuesday: A few scattered showers and storms possible, especially in the morning. Morning lows in the mid 60s. Afternoon highs in the low 80s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 80s.

Thursday: Sun and clouds and possibly some thunderstorms. Morning lows in the upper 60s. Afternoon highs near 90, but possibly higher if it doesn’t rain.
