Low pressure will continue to impact the area with afternoon showers and thunderstorms likely.

The morning hours should be mostly quiet. A few stray showers or even a thunderstorm cannot be totally ruled out, but most of the time it will be dry. Many areas may get through lunchtime without any rain.

Skies will be rather cloudy throughout the morning with just a few breaks of sun from time to time. The chances for a little sun will be greatest in the midday and early afternoon hours.

Throughout the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will develop and become widespread. All areas should see at least some rain, though rain amounts will be highly variable and dependent on heavier thunderstorm downpours.

Before the rain and storms develop this afternoon, highs should reach the low and mid 70s.

Winds today will be from the south at around, or at times under, 5 mph. Top gusts will be just under 20 mph, though a few thunderstorms may have some stronger gusts.

Showers and storms will continue into the early evening hours before tapering off. A few more stray showers will be possible through the overnight.

Temperatures tonight will dip to the low 60s this evening and will settle around 60 degrees overnight.
