Dry air will eventually build in today resulting in brightening skies.

This morning, skies will be mostly cloudy. A few spits of rain will also be possible, especially in the early and mid morning hours. The chances for rain will diminish in the late morning.

Then, this afternoon, the clouds will gradually erode away, leaving skies mostly sunny by the late afternoon.

Northwest winds will blow steadily through the day with speeds around 10 mph. Top gusts will come in near or slightly above 25 mph.

Despite the northwest winds, temperatures will not be too much cooler than they were yesterday. Look for afternoon highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Skies will be mostly clear, and winds will become calm this evening. Temperatures will quickly fall into the 50s.

By Midnight, a new south wind will begin to develop with speeds around 5 mph. This should be enough to keep temperatures from dropping too much further, with lows in the low and mid 50s expected.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Late afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Thursday: Periods of showers. Morning lows in the mid 50s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Friday: Cloudy with early showers. Some late sun. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: More clouds than sun. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.
