Today will be a cool, cloudy, and slightly breezy day in the wake of yesterday's cold front.

A few lake effect rain showers will linger across the area through the sunrise hours. However, shifting winds will take the lake effect northward, and the majority of the day will be dry.

Clouds will remain plentiful, though, with only the occasional break of sunshine. Late in the afternoon, the clouds will give way to more sun.

The wind will be from the west-northwest with speeds around 10 mph. Gusts will be around 25 mph.

The clouds and wind will ensure temperatures remain cool. Highs will only be around 50 degrees, and the hills in the northern part of the county will likely stick to the upper 40s.

Winds will turn to the southwest tonight and maintain 5-10 mph wind speeds. Skies will turn clear, so there will be a balance between radiational cooling and the wind keeping temperatures from falling too far. Look for overnight lows in the mid and upper 30s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Sunday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the low 50s.

Monday: More clouds than sun. A few stray showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
