A small weather disturbance will pass through the area today.

As this system moves through, most of the day will end up rather cloudy. Occasional light rain showers will be possible as well.

The rain showers will be hit or miss and total rain amounts should be minimal. Some areas may not see enough rain to wet the pavement.

Chances for rain will diminish in the mid afternoon, and late in the day, sunshine should increase. By the evening, skies will be mostly clear and will remain as such throughout the night.

For the first part of the day, winds will be from the southwest at around 5 mph. As the disturbances passes by, afternoon winds will turn to the northwest. Wind speeds will increase a few mph as they shift.

Early this evening, winds will become calm, but will then quickly turn back to the southwest. Overnight wind speeds will settle back in around 5 mph.

Daytime temperatures will be held in check by the clouds and spits of rain. Look for afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Ideal cooling conditions this evening will lead to a quick drop to the mid 40s early in the evening, and to around 40 degrees by midnight. After that, though, with the southwest winds, temperatures will hold mostly steady overnight.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Morning lows near 40. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Wednesday: Increasing and thickening clouds. Maybe a late shower. Morning lows in the mid 40s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

Thursday: Windy and rainy. Morning lows in the low 50s. Afternoon highs in the low 60s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. A few showers possible. Morning lows near 40 Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.
