Low pressure remains situated to our northwest, but precipitation will be hard to come by today anyway.

Skies will be a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day. A stray shower will be possible at any time, but will be most likely in the afternoon hours, thanks to the daytime heating cycle.

Any precipitation that falls will be light and brief, only lasting a few minutes at a time. It will be cold enough early this morning and this evening for a few snowflakes to potentially mix in.

Winds will be from the southwest today, but these will not be warming winds. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph this morning, dropping to around 5 mph this afternoon. Top gusts, also in the morning, will be around 25 mph.

Afternoon high temperatures will not get out of the 40s. Lower elevations will manage the upper 40s, but the hilltops will stick to the mid 40s.

The chances for a stray bit of precipitation will diminish this evening and skies should become mostly clear. A few more patches of clouds will be possible from time to time during the overnight.

It will be a cold night, with evening temperatures quickly finding the 30s and overnight lows mostly staying just above 30 degrees, but with a few colder pockets.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. A few showers and possibly snowflakes.  Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. Morning lows in the low 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 40s.

Friday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Lots of sunshine. Morning lows in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid 60s.
