Cortland County COVID-19 Wrap-Up for Tuesday, Nov. 15

Here is a breakdown of COVID-19 numbers in Cortland County from the past week. It is based on recorded information from the Cortland County Health Department and the New York State Department of Health.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reported recently that the level of COVID-19 transmission in the county is at a medium level. For the week of Nov. 7-13, there were 42 positive cases, two recent hospital admissions (nine currently hospitalized) and one new death.

As of Nov. 13, there have been 12,805 total positive cases, 812 hospitalizations and 130 deaths in the county. According to the state’s current COVID-19 tracker, the 7-day average for percentage who test positive and cases per 100K is 5.2% and 11.9, respectively.

The recent percentage of county residents fully vaccinated is 60.8%, and 59.9% of residents are fully vaccinated with a booster shot.
