Blustery west winds today will keep temperatures cool with a few lake flakes in the air.

Lake effect snow showers will come all the way from Lake Erie today. The snow will be on and off and mostly light. Little to no snow accumulation is expected, and much of the time will probably be dry.

There will be plenty of clouds in place, though a few brief glimpses of sunshine are not out of the question.

The west wind will blow with speeds up to 15 mph. Top gusts on the day should come in around 35 mph.

Afternoon high temperatures will rise into the mid and upper 30s.

The wind will turn to the southwest this evening with speeds of 5-10 mph. This shift will remove most of the snow from the area, though a stray flurry cannot be totally ruled out.

These will not be warm winds, and evening temperatures will quickly drop into the 20s. Overnight lows will end up near or under 25 degrees.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Friday: Partly cloudy. Maybe a few flurries. Morning lows in the mid 20s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Saturday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Sunday: More clouds than sun. Scattered snow showers. Morning lows in the upper 10s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.

Monday: Partly cloudy. Morning lows in the upper 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.
