McGraw boys basketball team improves to 2-0 with a road win over Otselic Valley

The McGraw Eagles defeated Otselic Valley with a score of 74-63 on the road Monday night. 

With this result, McGraw has started their regular season with an unbeaten record of 2-0. 

It was a close game at first, with McGraw only being able to obtain a two point lead by the end of the opening quarter (18-16). The Eagles then outscored Otselic Valley 20-12 in the following quarter to get a 38-28 lead at halftime. 

Following halftime, the Eagles came back strong in the third to extend their lead by 27 points (63-36). 

Otselic Valley attempted to make a comeback in the final quarter of the game, but McGraw's lead was too great to overcome.

McGraw was led by Nick Sutton (24 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 blocks & 3 steals), Jaydon Bassett (15 points, 9 rebounds & 3 assists), and Gaven Truman (16 points, 2 assists & 1 steal). 

Otselic Valley was led by Braden Davis (32 points) & Drew Sibila (20 points). 

McGraw’s next game will be played at home against Brookfield on Monday (December 12th) at 6pm.
