Varsity Track & Field: Marathon vs. Multiple Schools (Hurley Invitational Hurley Invitational)

The Marathon Olympians competed in the Hurley Invitational Hurley Invitational at SUNY Cortland on Saturday. 

Here are some highlights from both the Marathon boys’ and girls’ teams: 

Marathon Boys

• Robert Anderson finished 2nd in the 300 meter run (Time - 41.61) 
• Landon Barnhart came in 8th place in the 600 meter run (Time - 1:46.20)

Marathon Girls

• Abigail Trabucco placed 3rd in the pole vault event (Result - 7’6”). She also placed 6th in the 3,000 meter run (Time - 12:53.70)
• Sophia Hansen came in 6th place in the triple jump event (Result - 23’1.75”)

Varsity Track & Field: Cortland vs. Multiple Schools (Oscar B. Jensen Memorial Morning Meet)

The Cortland Tigers competed in the Oscar B. Jensen Memorial Morning Meets on Sunday at Onondaga Community College. 

Here are some highlights from both the Cortland boys’ and girls’ teams: 

Cortland Boys

• Jack Phelan won 1st place in the triple jump event (Result - 39’9.75”). He also came in 2nd place in the long jump event (Result - 19’04”)
• Duncan Harbin came in 2nd place in the weight throw event (Result - 46’4”). He also placed 5th in the shot put event (Result - 37’2.75”)
• Bryan Honan placed 3rd in the weight throw event (Result - 44’8”). He also placed 4th in the shot put event (Result - 38”0.75”)

Cortland Girls

• Lillian Call won 1st place in the 1,000 meter run (Time - 3:10.06)
• Morgann Doane placed 8th in the long jump event (Result - 13’2.50”)

Varsity Track & Field: Homer vs. Multiple Schools (Oscar B. Jensen Memorial Afternoon Relays)

The Homer Trojans competed in the Oscar B. Jensen Memorial Afternoon Relays on Sunday at Onondaga Community College. 

Here are some highlights from both the Homer boys’ and girls’ teams: 

Homer Boys

• Logan Darling (55’2”) and Jonah Campos (39’6”) won 1st place in the 2 x weight throw event. Jonah (36’8.5”) and Logan (34’11.75”) also placed 2nd in the 2 x shot put event.
• Dylan Pittsley (15’5.5”) and Gunnar Tyrrell (15’5) placed 5th in the 2 x long jump event.  Gunner (34’2”) and Dylan (32’6”) also placed 6th in the 2 x triple jump event.
• Gunnar Tyrrell (7.37) and Nick Costa (7.40) came in 6th place in the 2 x 55 meter run. 
• Damian Brown (3:05.07) and Aiden Small (3:46.77) placed 7th in the 2 x 1,000 meter run.
• Nick Costa (42.60) and Tristyn Henkel (46.94) placed 8th in the 2 x 300 meter run. 

Homer Girls

• Caitlin McCloy (28’4.5”) and Morgan Robideau (26’8”) won 1st place in the 2 x triple jump event.
• Jane Gugerty (15’2”) and Caitlin McCloy (12’4.75”) placed 2nd in the 2 x long jump event.
• Hannah Bouwens (27’2”) and Olivia Congdon (20’8”) placed 4th in the 2 x weight throw event.
• Jane Gugerty (9.74) and Haley Tucker (12.25) came in 4th in the 2 x 55 meter hurdles event.
• Ingrid Aagaard (1:54.33) and Morgan Robideau (2:09.72) placed 5th in the 2 x 600 meter run.
• Haley Tucker (14:16.19) and Maggie Mahunik (14:19.63) placed 5th in the 2 x 3,000 meter run.
• Ingrid Aagaard (47.43) and Emma Effinger (49.71) placed 6th in the 2 x 300 meter run.
• Emma Effinger (3:54.62) and Haley Tucker (4:04.16) placed 6th in the 2 x 1,000 meter run.
• Caitlin McCloy (8.34) and Natalie Funk (8.67) placed 7th in the 2 x 55 meter run.
• Hannah Bouwens (23’9”) and Olivia Congdon (16’0.5”) placed 8th in the 2 x shot put event.

Varsity Girls Basketball: Cincinnatus vs. LaFayette

The Cincinnatus Lady Lions lost 16-56 against LaFayette on Saturday. 

With this loss, Cincinnatus has fallen to an 0-3 record. 

Cincinnatus was led by Cortney Scutt (10 points), JuShawna Crane (4 points), and Justice Crane (2 points). 

LaFayette was led by Isabella Shenandoah-Kurtz (24 points) and Madison Simmons (11 points). 

Up next, Cincinnatus will take on Stockbridge Valley on the road this Tuesday (December 13th) at 6pm.
