Winter will continue to have a firm grasp on the region, but the actual weather conditions will continue to slowly improve.

It will still be cold and breezy today, but not as much so as yesterday.

A few flurries off Lake Erie will be possible from time to time. Skies will also remain rather cloudy, though a few pokes of sunshine will be possible.

Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

Winds will be from the southwest with speeds of 10-15 mph. Gusts will be around 30 mph.

This will continue to produce areas of blowing and drifting snow, but wind chill will become less of a hazard.

High temperatures should reach the mid and upper 10s, resulting in wind chills generally near or above 0 degrees.

Tonight, skies will become partly cloudy. Temperatures will drop back into the single digits, and a few cold pockets may flirt with 0 degrees overnight, especially if skies clear.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Monday: Some early sun, giving way to clouds and evening flurries. Morning lows in the low and mid 0s. Afternoon highs in the low 20s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the upper 0s. Afternoon highs in the low 30s.
