Today will remain on the cold side and a weak system late will bring in a few snow showers.

Clouds will increase this morning, though the sun will still shine through at least some of the clouds at first. Gradually, the clouds will thicken and sunshine will become less and less.

No snow is expected until after sunset. However, with the weak nature of the system and competing high pressure nearby, tonight’s snow will not amount to much.

Light snow showers will fall off and on through the evening and into the overnight. Most areas will see just a light coating of snow, while a few localized areas could see as much as an inch.

Winds will be from the southwest again today, but much lighter than they were over the weekend. Wind speeds will be around or just over 5 mph with gusts no higher than 20 mph.

Temperatures this afternoon will work their way up to around 20 degrees. After sunset, temperatures will drop to the mid 10s. The clouds and snow showers should keep overnight temperatures from falling beyond the low 10s.

Here is a look at the weather for the next few days:

Tuesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows in the low 10s. Afternoon highs in the mid 20s.

Wednesday: Sun and clouds. Morning lows near 10. Afternoon highs in the mid 30s.

Thursday: Increasing clouds. Morning lows in the mid 10s. Afternoon highs in the low and mid 40s.

Friday: Clouds and a few rain showers. Morning lows in the mid 30s. Afternoon highs in the mid and upper 40s.
