Warm air will continue to build into the region today, though it will also be rather cloudy ahead of our next weather maker.
The best chance for some sunshine today will come during the latter half of the afternoon. Even then, only some occasional glimpses of sunshine are expected.
Otherwise, clouds will rule the skies. A few rain showers may accompany the clouds, along with some drizzle and areas of fog. The fog will especially be possible this morning in areas that still have snow cover and over higher elevations.
South winds will be persistent with speeds of 5-10 mph. Top gusts on the day should be near or under 20 mph.
Most areas should get to at least 50 degrees today, and the city of Cortland could make a push towards the mid 50s. Evening temperatures will retreat to the mid and low 40s with some upper 30s showing up overnight.
Evening clouds will increase and thicken through the overnight. A few more stray showers or some bits of drizzle will be possible.
