Light rain will be possible as we close out 2022 and welcome in the New Year tonight.
Skies will be cloudy throughout the day and rain will be possible at almost any time. That being said, the best chance for rain will be from the late morning through the afternoon.
A second wave of rain will be possible this evening but may just miss to the southeast. At least some scattered showers should be about.
Rainfall amounts will remain light with under a half-inch falling.
Steady south winds will blow with speeds up to 10 mph. Gusts should stay at or under 20 mph. After midnight tonight, a cold front will move through, changing the wind to the northwest.
Temperatures this afternoon will warm into the mid 40s. Little change is expected after sunset, and by midnight, it should still be in the mid 40s.
Once the front moves through, temperatures will drop to the mid 30s by dawn Sunday.
