This was Cortland’s second game of the season against Jamesville-Dewitt, as they lost that first game with a score of 37-49 on December 9th, 2022

When asked if the team had a chip on their shoulder after losing to Jamesville-Dewitt earlier in the season, Coach Meyer said, “honestly no. We’re very humble. We just come in ready to try to outperform the other team. We don’t sleep on anybody. We came in ready to compete. We just want to win every game. It doesn’t matter who they are. We don’t care if they’re J-D, No.1 AA, or if they’ve won seven games in a row. We want to win and leave it all on the floor.”

Up next, Cortland is scheduled to take on Chenango Forks for a non-league game at home this Saturday (January 7th) at 12:45pm.
