A pair of subtle fronts will move through the area today.

The first front will move through during the midday hours. Before and after the front, skies should have plenty of sunshine.

This first front will only be marked by a few clouds and a shift in the wind. Before the front, winds will be light from the southwest at around 5 mph. Behind the front, winds will be more westerly at 5-10 mph.

No precipitation is expected along the front or at any time during the daytime hours.

Temperatures will be mild with highs approaching 50 degrees. Higher elevations will be in the upper 40s.

The second front this evening will bring in clouds and some flurries. Winds will turn to the northwest and increase to 10-15 mph through about midnight, then will settle in around 10 mph.

Behind the front, some limited lake effect may develop. Snow accumulations will be limited to a coating.

Late in the night, winds will begin to shift over Lake Ontario, ending the lake effect and setting up eventual sunshine on Tuesday.
